If you’re looking for art exhibitions in Pembrokeshire then the ‘Coast’ exhibition may be for you. This is a solo exhibition by Jill Jones from 3rd September to 10th October 2002 at Oriel LLanteglos Gallery at Llanteg, near Tenby. Gallery proprietor, Denise Vickery, says: “this is Jill’s second solo exhibition here and after the success of the first we expect great things once again”. All are welcome at the exhibition, in which paintings of the Pembrokeshire coast will feature. . In addition, you will have the chance to ‘meet the artist’ on some days.
Additionally, you will have the chance to ‘meet the artist’ on some days. You’ll find Jill at work on new coast-related compositions and have the chance to witness her technique at close quarters. Furthermore, if you wish, you can discuss a special commission of you own. No subject is ‘off-limits’; your favourite view or place or object. Special commissions make valued gifts for loved ones or can form a focal point in the home.
Jill also has her own West Coast Gallery in the hamlet of Talbenny, near Little Haven. Visitors are welcome daily from 10aa – 3pm. Monday to Saturday. You’ll find here a wide range of original paintings, Giclée prints and unique greetings cards.
How to get to Oriel Llanteglos Gallery
From the east, take the A477 and after the small village of Llanteg you will see the Llanteglos Estate signposted on the left. Coming from the west, the sign is on the right before Llanteg. Oriel Llanteglos is set within the popular holiday venue of the Llanteglos Estate, a short drive from the A477. The gallery is a popular venue for Pembrokeshire art exhibitions and reglarly features different artists. The aim of Oriel Llanteglos Gallery is to bring together the best of Welsh artists, potters, sculptors and creativity. It showcases both established and up and coming artists, with regular exhibitions, alongside a schedule of artist-led courses. These include those run by JillJones, that will allow you to explore your own creativity.
