The Havens Art Gallery is located in Talbenny, just south of Little Haven on the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast. Local artist, Jill Jones, founded the gallery in 2019 and its reputation has grown rapidly. People wishing to visit will find the gallery in the tiny hamlet of Talbenny on the Dale Road.
About Jill
Jill is inspired by the large skies and ever-changing colour of the vibrant seasons of Pembrokeshire. As a result, she works with light, moonlight and all the shades of sun and seawater. Indeed, her dynamic oil and acrylic paintings reflect this. Jill originally trained in fine art, then graphic design. Post-degree level, she spent all her career in commercial art, before returning to her first love; fine art. Now, her focus is painting and capturing the beauty of Pembrokeshire, her home county.
The Havens Art Gallery
In the gallery you will find a large number of Jill’s original artworks on display. Pembrokeshire seascapes and landscapes feature strongly as do paintings of local cultural significance. Indeed, at any one time up to forty original paintings are on display. This is in addition to those hanging in other galleries in Pembrokeshire and beyond. In addition, high quality Giclée prints are available at lower cost than originals. You may also choose from a wide range of greetings cards, based on original artworks.
Commissions
In addition to her original works Jill is happy to accept special commissions. A favourite view or place, perhaps your treasured home – all can be painted especially for you. Your first task is to contact Jill to discuss your project. Then you simply provide a photograph or location of a favourite view, coastal or rural and Jill will paint it. Uniquely just for you! Size-wise, Jill’s works are in the medium sized bracket, ranging roughly from 40cm x 40 cm to 75cm x 75 cm and in between.
